Why should I take part?

Initiative Musik is a member of Keychange, an initiative to promote gender equality in the music industry. By 2029, we want to fund at least 50% FLINTA* through our programmes and awards. The aim of this quota is to record and support the actual participation of FLINTA* in the music industry. The information must only be provided by the artists or participants themselves. Participation in the survey is voluntary. The data provided will be processed in compliance with our Data Protection Policy and solely for the purpose of measuring the Keychange quota. The data will not be shared with third parties.

Terms Explained:

FLINTA*: FLINTA* stands for women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people. The asterisk (*) is added as a placeholder for other, unnamed groups who do not identify as cis-male. Cis refers to people whose gender identity aligns with the gender they were assigned at birth. The term aims to draw attention to the fact that gender-based discrimination also affects gender identities other than women.
