European Music Exporters Exchange – Network for European Music

Initiative Musik is a partner in the non-profit organisation European Music Exporters Exchange (EMEE). The goals of this network of 24 European music exporting offices are disseminating music from Europe internationally, preserving musical diversity and strengthening the entire music sector.

EMEE Advantages: International Synergies

EMEE members are the national or regional music promotion organisations in their respective countries/regions. They also act as central contacts for music exporting. The work within the association creates incomparable synergies since each music export office is an expert for the music market in its country. The support provided by EMEE includes but isn’t limited to the following:

• Promoting the cross-border dissemination of music
• Sharing information and specialist knowledge: detailed expertise across the entire European music sector
• Strategic consulting and training for artists, music labels, publishers, festivals, etc. about questions around exporting music
• Developing programmes to ensure equal access to professional training and networks across Europe
• Strengthening cultural diversity, visibility and mobility both within and outside of Europe
• Providing a central interface and network for the around 10,000 European music professionals who have benefited from EMEE to date
• Representing the members’ music exporting interests before European and international institutions
